I’m sat writing this instalment of my blog in the Funky Buddha restaurant, drinking 241 cocktails and eating chocolate cake and ice cream. Bliss.

An early rise again, we’re up and met by our trekking guide Shiva. He seems friendly, but we were running late which probably didn’t please him. We hopped on a small bus to the start point, then we see the steps. These are the steepest steps I’ve ever seen, but locals are basically running up them loaded with items like huge bags of rice and weekly shopping.

India-Delhi

And so our adventure begins....

We knew India was a big culture shock, and we were not disappointed. As soon as you leave the airport the craziness starts; cars everywhere, sticky heat, and the unrelenting sound of car horns! 

Our small group of two grew when we boarded the plane: Charelle, who was travelling to India on her own, had somehow managed to find herself next to us. She's on the same tour as us, but starts today instead of tomorrow with us! Staying at the hotel next door, she hopped into the car that took us to our new homes for the next 3 nights! The hotel is clean, the service is quick and there is (questionable) wifi. All in all, not that bad!
